Heritage & Overview

The Omega Speedmaster 38 mm Milano Cortina 2026 is a remarkable timepiece that celebrates Omega's prestigious role as the Official Timekeeper for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. This special edition, with reference 522.30.38.50.04.001, marks the 100-day countdown to the event, embodying the spirit of the classic Speedmaster Reduced in a modern 38mm format.

The Omega Speedmaster 38 mm Milano Cortina 2026 boasts a stainless steel case with a diameter of 38mm, a thickness of 14.75mm, and a lug-to-lug measurement of 44.96mm. Its design features asymmetrical lyre-shaped lugs and a robust caseband, ensuring a water resistance of 100 meters, an improvement over the 50 meters of the Professional Moonwatch.

The watch is adorned with a blue ceramic bezel featuring a white enamel tachymeter scale in the classic 'dot-over-ninety' (DON) layout. This traditional design choice replaces previous bi-material designs, offering a more cohesive aesthetic. The varnished white dial is accented with a frosted blue transfer and finger-trace pattern inspired by the Milano Cortina 2026 emblem.

Subdials are white varnished with an azurage finish, reminiscent of groomed ski slopes. The diamond-polished hour markers and hands, coated with blue CVD and filled with white Super-LumiNova, ensure readability. A gradient blue central seconds hand adds a touch of elegance, while the date window features dark blue 'Milano Cortina' typography.

The screw-in caseback is engraved with a stamped medallion showcasing the Olympic logo, a nod to Omega's historical Olympic partnership since 1932. Powering this timepiece is the automatic Co-Axial Calibre 3330, a column-wheel chronograph based on a reworked ETA 7753. It features a co-axial escapement, silicon balance spring, free-sprung balance, 31 jewels, a 4Hz beat rate, and a 52-hour power reserve, all COSC-certified.

The watch is paired with a new 3-link polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet, featuring 18mm lugs and a 15mm clasp. The bracelet includes Omega's comfort release system, ensuring a perfect fit for any wrist. Weighing approximately 133 grams, this timepiece is priced at CHF 5,300 (excl. VAT) or EUR 6,600 (incl. VAT), and is presented in a special box.

In summary, the Omega Speedmaster 38 mm Milano Cortina 2026 is a non-limited special edition that blends sporty chronograph functionality with elegant proportions, making it suitable for both daily and formal wear. Its connection to Omega's legacy of precision timekeeping innovations further enhances its appeal to watch enthusiasts and collectors alike.
